COMMUNICATING THE problem of microplastics

One of our recent highlights was receiving the 2024 Research in Science and Engineering (RISE) Scholars Award. This recognizes exceptional young female STEM scholars in the Los Angeles area for their commitment to innovative scientific research or engineering and design projects. As part of this award, we were invited to the annual Archer STEM Symposium, where we presented a poster and also gave an oral presentation. It was definitely rewarding to get to share the problems of microplastics with a larger audience.
